NeuroScience for education, inclusion and rehabilitation

Neuroscience is a fast-growing field of research that studies how the brain and nervous system function. This knowledge can be used to improve the education and rehabilitation of people living with disabilities or facing challenges. The Society for Inclusion through Neurosomatic Education is a non-profit organisation dedicated to using neuroscience to promote social inclusion.

Education is an area where neuroscience can bring many benefits. By understanding how the brain learns, teachers can adapt their teaching methods to meet the specific needs of learners. For example, some people have difficulty concentrating or memorising information. By using techniques based on neuroscience, teachers can help these students to better assimilate knowledge. The key is to remember that learning is a lifelong ability: we all have plastic brains that are thirsty to learn. Some of us require a different context or a little help!

Rehabilitation is another area where neuroscience can have a significant impact. People living with physical or cognitive limitations can benefit from neuroscience-based rehabilitation programmes. For example, neuromovement helps the brain create connections and improve functions by using body movement only. We all know the value of physical exercises to strengthen muscles, but what about considering the mental aspects of physical movement?. In addition, brain-body re-education techniques can help improve memory, attention and executive functions.

For parents of children with special challenges or living with disabilities, it is important to learn about neuroscience-based approaches. These approaches can help children unlock their brains, develop their skills and overcome their limitations.

For people living with chronic illnesses or pain, injuries or accidents, neuroscience-based approaches can also be beneficial. Neuroscience-based pain management techniques, neuromovement, breath work, EFT and other non-medical approaches are successful in reducing pain and improving quality of life. In addition, neuroscience-based rehabilitation programmes can help regain maximum functionality after an injury or accident.

The Society for Inclusion through Neurosomatic Education (SINSE) promotes science-based approaches to promote social inclusion. Our mission is to accelerate the adoption of science-based practices, approaches and modalities in education, rehabilitation and recovery. We work with parents, vulnerable people, practitioners and therapists to develop programmes tailored to the specific needs of each individual.

By raising awareness of the importance of neuroscience-based approaches, the Society for Inclusion through Neurosomatic Education hopes to promote greater educational and social inclusion for people living with limitations. By using scientific knowledge to inform educational and rehabilitation practice, we can create a more inclusive environment for all.
